ProGen Search is partnering with a pioneering biotechnology company focused on oncology to identify a dynamic Vice President of Business Development. This leadership role is integral to driving the company’s growth by identifying strategic partnerships, expanding the company’s market presence, and spearheading initiatives that bring life-changing cancer therapies to patients worldwide.

As a core member of the leadership team, the Vice President of Business Development will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business strategies with scientific innovation, ensuring the company’s continued success in the competitive biotechnology landscape.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to support the company’s growth in the oncology sector.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and academic partners.
  • Lead market analysis efforts to identify trends, emerging opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Collaborate with R&D and clinical teams to align business opportunities with scientific objectives.
  • Present the company’s vision, capabilities, and strategic goals to external stakeholders, including investors and partners.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Provide insights and leadership to guide the company’s expansion into new markets and therapeutic areas.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field (advanced degree preferred, such as MBA, MSc, or PhD).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, with a proven track record in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong background in oncology, including an understanding of drug development and commercialization processes.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze market data and develop actionable business strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams.
